Parent participation in all meetings is strongly encouraged. Pack 831 is particularly interested in creating an
opportunity for parents and sons to participate together. Fathers, mothers, or other guardians are welcome.
We want to create opportunities for special one-on-one parent/child experiences.
Den Meetings have plenty of opportunities for the parent or guardian to help the boy with crafts or projects,
to join into activities and to share experiences with their son. Depending on the Den, the parent or guardian may
share the responsibilities of meeting preparation and will sometime take turns leading the den activities.
Den meetings are primarily for the parent and the boy, making this a special event for them.
Babysitting may be
available for siblings if there is a need.
Pack Meetings are your chance to see your son shine. At Pack Meetings your son will be recognized for his accomplishments
and will receive recognition that he has earned since the last Pack Meeting.
Boys will participate in skits, openings,
den demonstrations, and closings. There will be a Den Duty Listing in each newsletter that will show how the dens will
divide the duties that will make the Pack Meetings successful. Den parents and boys will take turns helping with set up,
clean up and refreshments as well as helping with the actual Pack Meeting.
All family members are welcome to attend all
Pack Meetings.
Occasionally Pack Meetings will be combined with pack outings. We will have the outing and then have a
shortened version of a Pack Meeting during or after the outing.
All Den Meetings and Pack Meetings are listed on the calendar and details will be found in each issue of our Pack News.
